Twisted Iron Skillet Meatloaf

 1 ½ lbs hamburger meat
 1 lb sage sausage
 1 tbsp minced garlic
 2 eggs
 1 cup dried fine seasoned bread crumbs
 1 packet of McCormick Meatloaf seasoning pack
 1 ½ cups Shuptrines Twisted Relish (chow chow) (keeping its liquid to a minimum)
 ½ cup ketchup
 1 tbsp mustard
 2 tbsp Worcestershire
 1 10 Inch Cast Iron Skillet (we get ours from local LODGE) or a bread pan
  cup ketchup for topping

HEAT OVEN TO 350°F.
• Heat in your skillet you will bake in, 1 t oil, your chopped onion, and minced garlic with (keep liquid to a minimum) drained Shuptrine’s Twisted Relish oil in a 10-inch cast iron skillet onion, cook till onions are clear (about 10 min). Take mixture out of iron skillet and let cool.
Place the eggs, cream, salt and pepper, McCormick Meatloaf spice pack, Worcestershire sauce and in a large bowl, whisk. Add both your sage sausage, ground lean beef,, bread crumbs mustard, and ketchup, and using clean hands, mix and fold with hands until completely mixed , set aside.

• Take cooled onion mixture and fold into meat . Transfer the meatloaf mixture back to your used skillet from making the onion/chow chow mixture, and press into an even layer pressing to all sides of the skillet.

• Bake at 350 for 45 min- to an hour. If you don’t use lean ground beef for the recipe you might ha e to drain off excess fat during baking process.
• Remove the skillet from the oven. Turn on the broiler. Spoon and brush the top of the meatloaf with the rest of the ketchup. Broil on the same rack for about 3 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
